The Beginning
When I started this newsletter at the beginning of the semester, I made a goal to complete 8 posts. Although I am a little behind on that goal, it allowed me to push myself.
Because of the nature of this newsletter, being about anything under the sun, I pursued different ideas that interested me. Whether it be something I studied in class or something I investigated in my free time, this newsletter allowed me to explore a variety of topics without getting burned out.
As I stated in my first post, everyone “should have an outlet to share things they are passionate about.” I needed an external place to share my thoughts and research, even if only with a small audience.
Let’s Take Stock
Over the course of the semester, I wrote about fangirls, PFAS, a personal travel story, The Twilight Zone, and an upcoming trip.
Overall, this newsletter was a success. I completed what I set out to do and found a new form of writing separate from the academic writing I was accustomed to.
This project helped me grow as a writer and find independence in what I was writing about. Because of this, I learned ways to improve and become more creative about the content I make.
The Future
All of this leads to my decision on what I want for this newsletter in the future. Because I have curated this newsletter to adapt to my time after college, I plan to not only keep my previous posts but continue to update the newsletter.
Although I may not have any deadlines, I do have an exciting next few months. I want to use this platform to share things that learn on my journey and in my classes. If this is something that interests you, follow along.
Thank you to everyone who has followed along this semester and a special thank you to Dr. Cook who helped me launch this project.
I love this newsletter! Gotta keep writing so we can all follow your travels and experiences. Perhaps one of the great ironies is that, indeed, we are listening to you after all. LOL.
